Ryan Jack has withdrawn from the Scotland squad for Wednesday’s World Cup play-off against Ukraine and three Nations League qualifiers.

The Ibrox ace came off the bench in last Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final, showed no sign of any injury but a week later has pulled out of the Scotland squad.

Jack can now enjoyed more than a fortnight of extra holiday time before reporting back for pre-season training at Ibrox and the final year of his contract.

Jack started nine Europa League matches since the turn of the year, including the final against Eintracht Frankfurt but only made the starting XI for four SPFL matches.

If Scotland beat Ukraine they will face a final play-off against Wales on June 5. In the Nations League Scotland face Armenia on June 8 and 14 with a trip to Dublin on June 11 to take on Ireland.
