Her Majesty’s Government- fawning new statement from Ibrox over Watergate

For the second time this week the Ibrox Tribute Act have issued a statement about conditions in Seville for the Europa League Final.

As ever it seems utterly pointless, Monday’s claim about a lack of respect has been replaced by Tuesday’s fawning about Her Majesty’s Government.

With the fall out from the treatment of Liverpool fans in Paris building momentum it seems like the Tribute Act are indulging in some ‘what about us’ because some of the Elderly and Disabled Loyal were apparently forced to drink toilet water.

Twelve days after Aaron Ramsey missed his penalty there is still no video evidence of the terrifying conditions that the bears endured in Seville.

This morning they stated:

This morning, representatives from Rangers met with Her Majesty’s Government to discuss the issues faced by our support in Seville before, during and after the Europa League Final. We are grateful for this engagement and will continue to lobby on behalf of our supporters.

Who they are speaking to and what they are lobbying for isn’t clear.

Having picked up eight UEFA fines for a variety of offences on the road to Seville it is quite a leap to claim that the lack of water in the Ramon Sanchez Pisswan Stadium was an attack on the dignity of loyal bears.

Of the six UEFA finalists only one didn’t trust their own fans with a beam-back.
