Celtic fans were all over a tweet from Fabrizio Romano announcing that Spartak Moscow have parted company with Jordan Larsson.Â
The striker has spent two seasons in the Russian capital but is currently on loan at AIK and now able to negotiate his own deal.Â
With Celtic apparently looking to sign a striker the 25-year-old looks like an ideal candidate, his signing might even eclipse the excitement that Kris Boyd felt when Aaron Ramsey left Juventus on loan earlier this year.Â
Celtic need no introduction to Jordan who grew up in Bothwell, cheering every goal that his Dad netted and enjoying regular post match kickabouts on Celtic Park.Â
There are however a number of drawbacks with incredible expectations on the Swede with the Celtic DNA. Comparisons with his Dad would be inevitable and impossible to live upto.Â
Jordan has already had spells in Holland and Norway, apart from the 20/21 season when he scored 15 goals in 29 matches his scoring record hasn’t been better than one in three.Â
Swedish striker Jordan Larsson, set to leave Spartak Moscow as contract has been terminated in the last few hours. ???? #transfers
Larsson has already received some approaches as it’s an opportunity now on free transfer.
