Jordan Larsson has left AIK but is keeping quiet about his next club.

Earlier this week the striker reached agreement to cancel his Spartak Moscow due to the war in Ukraine.

A loan deal with AIK ends tomorrow leaving Jordan as a free agent to decide on his next move- with some Celtic fans noting claims that the hoops are in the market for an additional striker.

Aftonbladet reports:

Jordan Larsson came to AIK on loan at the beginning of the season, when the foreign players in the Russian league were granted a waiver by Fifa to sign for another club due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The day before yesterday, Spartak Moscow also agreed that Larsson and the club have agreed to break the contract and thus the striker is a so-called free agent and can sign for whichever club he wants without the club he agrees with having to pay a transfer fee.

The loan contract with AIK expires on June 30 and after the match against Degerfors, the player himself said that the future was uncertain.

Unfortunately, I can not answer that. I want a lot, but it’s not always up to me. My agent has to answer those questions. I know everyone wants to know, but there is not much to say right now, he said then.

At least now it is clear that Jordan Larsson is leaving AIK for this time. The player thanked the player squad for the time in AIK after yesterday’s training, according to Sportbladet’s information.

Larsson will now be free waiting to make a decision regarding his future.

Jordan joining Celtic would be an enormous move, 17 years on after his Dad’s emotional farewell the Swede is still revered and celebrated as the greatest Celt of this century..

Living up to that legacy would be an enormous task but having spent his first seven years living in Bothwell Larsson Junior knows all about the club that dominated his childhood.
