Ibrox power brokers are feeling frustrated by the laboured negotiations to sign Malmo hero Antonio Colak from PAOK. An offer of 3m euros will resolve the stand-off.

Ross Wilson is leading talks to sign the striker but it seems that the transfer guru has hit a roadblock in his bid to sign the striker. Not since Kemar Roofe two years ago have the Ibrox side spent more than £300,000 on a player

The on-message Rangers Review are the favoured outlet for the Ibrox hierarchy to release news to bears waiting on transfer developments.

Today’s update includes the claim that ‘since agreement was reached haven’t been forthcoming in making a final decision on the 28-year-old’s future without a replacement secured’. That particular piece of transfer gymnastics means that no deal has been concluded.

It seems that a season of record turnover bolstered by £50m from the run to the Europa League Final (Scottish Daily Express claim) has yet to filter its way through to the transfer war-chest. Earlier this year Sports Direct settled their dispute with the tribute act.

Applying top spin to the failure to complete a 3m euro transfer, Jonny McFarlane tells the Rangers Review:

Razvan Lucescu’s (PAOK manager) side were open to negotiations but, since agreement was reached haven’t been forthcoming in making a final decision on the 28-year-old’s future without a replacement secured. Some reports have emerged from Greece that a third Rangers offer is being deliberated on but that’s not the case, with particulars between the clubs and player now finalised.

Transfer dealings are complex and multi-faceted at the best of times but power brokers at Ibrox are feeling frustrated by the hold-up in the deal. Terms have been agreed on a contract that essentially sees a like-for-like swap with misfiring Cedric Itten in financial terms after the striker made a £1.5m return to Switzerland earlier in the window.

Colak is keen to move to Scotland having been wowed by the Ibrox atmosphere when turning out for Malmo and sees a Rangers as a positive step for his career. He has requested the transfer be finalised as soon as possible.

In five weeks time van Bronckhorst’s side face a Champions League third round qualifier, at the moment Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe are the only striker’s at the club with both missing the end of last season through injury.

Can already guess how this is going to pan out.

Nobody signed permanently for sevco before their first competitive game,
    – but ‘rumours’ of several signings still in the offing.

sevco stumbles at the first CL hurdle – so definitely no new signings.

Knives out for GvB, and bears are raging well before the SPL starts.

    Would be ideal. 🙂

You see that’s the problem with second hand guesswork, or better known as According to reports! Conjecture, speculation or assumption gets you nowhere! When was the last time any of the Rangers mark two sympathisers in the SMSM, actually had a true honest to god scoop of a story rather than another’s work. To my mind it’s plagiarism through the back door.

Somebody else that doesn’t want to sign for the smelly bastards.
