Alfredo Morelos is in for the most heart-breaking news of his Ibrox career with Sevilla preparing a £25m bid for Umar Sadiq.

The Nigerian striker had a disastrous loan spell at Ibrox in 2018 that was cut short with a return to Roma in January 2019 with the player complaining about wages not being paid.

Freed from the coaching of Steven Gerrard Sadiq’s game has gone from strength to strength with his goals taking him from Roma to Partizan Belgrade and onto Almeria where he has impressed Sevilla.

Last season Sadiq scored 18 goals and contributed 12 assists in La Liga 2 with Sevilla ready to swoop as they prepare to sell Youssef En-Nesyri to West Ham.

Respected publisher Marca reports:

Umar Sadiq amazed Julen Lopetegui in the cup match between Almería and Sevilla two seasons ago. In fact, the Nigerian striker, with Almería still in second place, was well up on Monchi’s list of preferences in case Youssef En-Nesyri was transferred.

The Moroccan came from scoring 24 goals and nobody was going to force the situation. The scorer said not to move and there were no more approaches by the ‘9’ of the rojiblanco team. There was everything.

Sadiq ‘s evolution at Almería has not gone unnoticed at Sánchez-Pizjuán , even knowing that his price was going to increase with promotion. TheVoz de Almería informs about Sadiq’s own desire to wait to see if Sevilla makes a move, among all his suitors.

In Nervión nobody says this mouth is mine in the matter of the striker. In fact, it is not even certain that a ‘9’ will be signed this summer, although the departure of Luuk de Jong will force the attack to be reinforced. Always with the knowledge on the part of all those involved that Lopetegui plays with a single battering ram.

In the event that another attacker arrives, the idea is to find another profile . That collides head-on with a Sadiq, relatively physically similar to En-Nesyri or Rafa Mir . How could he get to Sevilla? Very easy. The interest of West Ham and other English clubs in En-Nesyri is still latent. The transfer of him if he would release a real square in the attack and offer the possibility of making the offer requested by theAlmería right now, about 25 million

Morelos’ inner circle are reported to have contacted Sevilla indicating that the chunky striker is keen to join them to escape from Ibrox.

Speaking to The Sunday Post in 2019 about his Ibrox spell Sadiq claimed:

Rangers still owe him a month’s wages. He was fined £20,000 for ‘liking’ an Instagram post during his time with the club. That he was made to feel like an outcast in the first-team squad.

The signing of Kyle Lafferty turned his stay in Scotland into a nightmare. Steven Gerrard didn’t tell him face-to-face he was being shipped out six months before the scheduled end of his stay in Scotland.

Who would want to buy Morelos anyway he’s always overweight always looks chunky & he isn’t worth the money rangers are looking to get for him. So Seville are better off signing sidiq. Pluse Morelos is always in trouble with his temper he’s a hot head & his face is always tripping him
