Kyogo Furuhashi was given a great ovation when he returned to Vissel Kobe for their match against Urawa Reds.

The Celtic striker has been enjoying a high profile break back in Japan, training with his former Vissel team-mates half-way through his summer ‘rest’.

Last July, while sitting as the top scorer in the J-League it was announced that Kyogo would be joining Celtic where Ange Postecoglou was putting together a new-look side.

There was no sign of anger among the Vissel fans at losing their top scorer in mid-season, Kyogo played one match before his departure where he was given a great reception.

The move to Celtic was very much split in half, a storming start after scoring a hat-trick on his home debut culminating in the two goals that won the League Cup Final against Hibs.

That was followed by almost four months without a goal as the striker returned from a hamstring injury, fortunately he finished the season with a double in the 6-0 win over Motherwell and a return to the international side.
