There are few things in life as reliable as BBC Sport Scotland and their football Gossip page. 

No matter how far fetched and unsubstantiated the story as long as it contains good news for Ibrox fans it can be assured of being the lead story with the state broadcaster. 

Twice this week they’ve led with details of Sevilla being involved in transfer talks over Alfredo Morelos. Despite their vast resources it seems beyond the BBC to check these stories out. 

In January 2018 Kheredine Idesanne decided to check out the substance of Chinese interest in Alfredo Morelos but was soon put right by his pay-masters. Since then BBC Scotland has stuck strictly on message, parroting the messages from elsewhere as Ibrox fans are fed a constant diet of feel-good stories. 

With Tom English, Jane Lewis, Alasdair Lamont, Steven Thompson and Kenny Macintyre presenting with pundits ranging from Kenny Miller, Neil McCann and Richard Foster it isn’t difficult to detect the tone of BBC Scotland’s football coverage.

      Apparently Forest are after all the Sevco players going by SMSM.

      I understand the “fabulously talented” 7 year old they signed this week has a fee £50 million offered by Forest but The Rangers won’t sell until after the first Parkhead game.
