Celtic have given Kerr McInroy a three word farewell, responding to a tweet from Kilmarnock.
Having given the club the best part of 10 years it is a fairly disrespectful way to bid goodbye to a player who made it onto the first team bench as far back as February 2019 under Brendan Rodgers.
Just like Ewan Henderson the glut of midfielders at the club blocked McInroy’s hopes of finding a route to first team football.
Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic were regular back up with others like Ismaila Soro, Luca Connell and Liam Burt brought into the club with no obvious development plan.
Best of luck, @kerrmcinroy7! ? https://t.co/uzolahJPNL

McInroy impressed at the start of the 2020/21 season when he played in successive days in friendlies against Ross County and Hibs as an emergency left back before going out on loan to Dunfermline where he managed to pick up a Scotland u-21 cap.
In the season just finished McInroy made a positive impact at Airdrie and Ayr United, next season he can team up with Calum Waters at Rugby Park as Kilmarnock return to the Premiership.
Celtic seem very unwilling to acknowledge the departure of players, there is no word on Karamoko Dembele or various others. Most clubs list players leaving at the end of the season and thank them for their contribution but there is very little content currently on the Celtic website.
The highlight of McInroy’s Celtic career was probably a 4-0 Glasgow Cup Final win at Ibrox in 2016 alongside Mikey Johnston, Stephen Welsh and Jack Aitchison.
I don’t understand why so much energy is put into what happens to players who are not in our future plans.
