Ange Postecoglou was on his A game as he was interviewed in Austria by Mrk Benstead of Sky Sports.

From day one last season the Celtic boss could detect what answers were required when he went in front of the Scottish media, with a smile and by often dropping the term mate into his answer he batted everything away.

Watching the media conferences became compulsive viewing for many fans as Postecoglou dominated, getting his message across and setting the agenda on the follow up stories.

So far Celtic have had a near perfect transfer window, three loan signings converted to permanent deals, an impressive back up goalkeeper brought in to push Joe Hart and a left-back from Argentina for the most obvious position in the squad short of competition.

There are still legacy issues for the club to deal with, asked about Chris Jullien and Albian Ajeti, Postecoglou straight batted with his answer, as he did when he was tested about how Josip Juranovic had reacted to speculation that Atletico Madrid and others are preparing to bid for the Croatian defender.

Speaking to Sky Sports the Celtic boss said:

It is a good final question on that front and you ge get a different answer. He’s part of the furniture here, he’s training well, as I said everybody’s future is uncertain. The key to it all is that whatever happens in the future is really determined by what you do today.

With Josip and the other boys who had a fantastic time last year the key now is to improve this year then all those kind of things take care of themselves.

Celtic face Rapis Vienna tomorrow in their second pre-season matches with their international players expected to be back in action after sitting out the 7-0 win over Wiener Viktoria.

Ange would make a brilliant chess player always 6 moves ahead of these numpties.

Sky Sports have they’re own agenda, it was abundantly clear last season and will be again this season. Ther darlings never get asked the tough questions, I honestly thought that was a Gerard thing and it would stop when he went south.
Obviously I was wrong and can only see it as an anti Celtic agenda now. Not pro Rangers.
That’s fine, as long as they don’t expect any favours in the interviews etc.
I wish Celtic would stand up to these people.
