Giovanni van Bronckhorst is poised to bring in his fourth signing of the summer as the Dutchman steps up his Imaginative Transfer Policy.

Bayern Munich starlet Malik Tillman is set to sign a season long loan to link up with Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence and Rabbi Matondo as the Ibrox club attempt to avoid another humiliating Malmo style defeat in the Champions League qualifiers which start in less than three weeks.

Malik managed to play in 102 minutes of Bundesliga action last season, when tough German rules forced Bayern to dig deep due to self isolation, but will now join the galaxy of stars competing for a midfield place at Ibrox.

Even with Southampton picking up Joe Aribo for £6m van Bronckhorst still has John Lundstram, Steve Davis, Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield to select from. Utility man James Sands joined on loan in January for an 18 month stint.

The Glasgow Times reports:

RANGERS are set to clinch a loan move for Bayern Munich midfielder Malik Tillman.

The 20-year-old has emerged as a key target for boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst as he seeks to bolster his options ahead of the new campaign.

And Herald and Times Sport understands Rangers are close to finalising a move to bring the highly-rated Bundesliga kid to Glasgow.

Rangers have added Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence and Rabbi Matondo to their ranks already this summer. And Tillman is now poised to become the fourth arrival and complete a season long loan move to Ibrox.
