Celtic’s B team crashed to a 1-0 defeat away to Berwick Rangers tonight in the Lowland League.

The hoops fell behind to a second minute goal scored by Lewis Allan and finished the match with 10 men with Tsoanelo Letsosa sent off in the 73rd minute.

Bosun Lawal and Johnny Kenny came into the side that beat Cowdenbeath 3-1 on Saturday but the visitors never really imposed themselves on the match despite facing opponents that lost 6-0 to Hearts B on Saturday.

Berwick included Tam Scobbie and Alex Harris who have experience at a decent level but facing part-time opponents after putting in a shift at work there is no disguising the fact that losing tonight is very disappointing.

On Saturday Celtic are back in action when they travel to Edinburgh to take o Spartans.

CELTIC: Oluwayemi; Dede (Quinn 89) , Lawal, Otoo, Anderson; Letsoa, Carse (Thomson 67); Vata, Summers, Davidson; Kenny (Murphy 63)

SUBS: Luyeye, Morrison, Corr, Kelly
