A Turkish based Twitter account has linked Celtic with an interest in Fausto Vera of Argentinos Juniors.Â
After signing Alexandro Bernabei from Lanus it is easy to link Celtic with further moves from Aregentina but with but with 19,000 Twitter followers while only following while only following one account, LT Scouting and Management (linked to Transfermarkt.com), Latin Tribun has clearly earned respect across Twitter.Â
At 3.13pm on Thursday Latin Tribun tweeted:Â
Belgium’s Genk team have made an official offer for Argentinos Juniors young midfielder Fausto Vera.
Genk offered €6 million for 70% of Vera’s testimonial, one of the top 5 in Argentina. Celtic also wants Vera.Â
Celtic’s interest in Vinicius Souza seems to have run its course with the Lommel midfielder in Spain for signing talks with Espanyol.Â
Transfermarkt describes Vera as a defensive midfielder who has been with Argentinos Juniors since 2018. Last season he only made three League appearances but this year he has made 22 appearances across three competitions.
With a transfer fee of over £5m signing Vera would be a very serious statement from Celtic but with Genk also interested there must be serious quality about the 22-year-old. That sort of money isn’t just spent to ensure that Beranabei has a fellow Argentinian in the dressing room!Â
