Alongside Brian Wilson, few people sum up the contempt of the Labour Party better than George Foulkes.

Popular in the eighties and nineties as a reaction to Thatcherism, once they came to power folk started to see the Labour party for what is really is. Free loaders and Red Tories with their only political interest the preservation of the Union to allow them to remain on board the gravy train.

Like his attendance in the House of Lords former Hearts chairman Foukes only has eyes for himself. Last night he managed to claim a ticket to another freebie in Glasgow as the city celebrated a company that died in shame a decade ago leaving 276 creditors high and dry.

It is not known of anyone from Celtic attended last night’s City Chambers celebrations.

Back in 2000 the Sunday Mail reported:

THE son of Foreign Office minister George Foulkes has been convicted of being a football hooligan, the Sunday Mail can reveal.

Hearts supporter Alex Foulkes, 25, almost triggered a riot when he hurled sectarian abuse at Celtic fans during a match at Parkhead.

The arrogant lout, who tutted his way through a court appearance, told officers who arrested him: “You will be in trouble – my father is an MP and my mother is on the police board.”

Foulkes, a former official of the Scottish Executive’s rural affairs department, was fined pounds 450 at Glasgow Sheriff Court. He initially denied shouting, swearing and taunting rival fans with sectarian abuse. But he changed his plea after his younger brother Dominic, who was at the game with him, testified that he had swore at the Celtic support.

Police on duty at the game last August described how they watched Foulkes flicking V-signs and screaming vile insults at the home fans.

He ignored several warnings about his behaviour and was eventually arrested after police feared an angry reaction from the Celtic fans. Sheriff Samuel Cathcart heard that when Foulkes was taken to the detention area at Parkhead he threatened officers that they could be “in trouble” because his mother was on the Strathclyde Police Board and his father was an MP.

Last night, dad George, Labour MP for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley, said: “I have no comment to make, and neither does my son.

Not quite. It took Tony Blair amending Clause IV of the party’s constitution to start the process of turning them into the Red Tories they have become, though if he hadn’t you could argue that we’d have had a continuous Tory government since Thatcher got into power.

Regardless, today they are a 100% as bad as the Tories and cling to the Union because without it England will likely end up a Tory dictatorship in perpetuity…and without our resources they will be Donald Ducked.

Keir Starmer is clearly a guileless personality-vacuumed automaton placed in situ to do the Tories’ bidding. Foulkes is an enemy of democracy, not only as he still wields a form of political power with his seat in the despicable and bloated Lords, but with his constant attempts to prevent Scots having their say on this clearly broken political union.

He and all the other staunch unionists know that there’s little chance of Scots again falling for their “federalism” patter, “family of nations” pish or any sort of “vow” printed on the front of the only paper in the world that if you wipe your arse with it you end up with more shite there than when you started wiping….
