Ibrox media team goes into full spin

The Ibrox PR machine is spinning in all directions to deflect away from the complete lack of transfer activity at the club.

Throughout June the usual outlets were full of moonbeams about the fanciful fees that were about to arrive for the Europa League runners-up.

With clubs back in training and the wheels of the transfer market starting to move there has yet to be a single bid put to Ross Wilson with John Souttar the only arrival despite record breaking turnover for the year just closed.

Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Joe Aribo, Ryan Jack and Filip Helander are in the final year of their contracts with the clock ticking away. A year ago Celtic were doing everything to find buyers for Kris Ajer and Odsonne Edouard, incoming business was dependent on it.

In an attempt to drum up interest word has leaked out that Aribo has rejected a contract, a clear effort to create difficulties for a player playing to his terms of employment.

To muddle things up Follow Follow has been used to deny the story. The obvious question is whether he has been offered a new contract, if not why not?

That of course won’t be asked by fan-media sites, delighted to think that they are in the loop while being used by the club to deflect from the realities of no incoming business and zero interest in the over-hyped stars priced at Demele Dollars.

Despite the noise there is no interest in signing Aribo at anything more than £4m.
