Celtic are reported to be keen on signing Edouard Michut from Paris Saint Germain.
The midfielder made five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 last season and is under contract until June 2025.
In recent years Celtic have signed Odsonne Edouard and Timothy Weah from the French champions, both on loan with the Edouard deal converted to a permanent move in 2018 with a club record of £9m paid for the young striker.
Celtic were heavily linked with Vinicius Souza before he moved to Espanyol on loan from Belgian side Lommel, it seems that a defensive midfielder is the current transfer priority for Ange Postecoglou.
At 11am this morning Anthony Joseph retweeted a message from his Sky Sports colleague Lyall Thomas.

So far in the transfer window Celtic have converted the deals on Daizen Maeda, Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers into permanent deals with Ben Siegrist and Alexandro Bernabei added to last season’s double winning squad.
Ange Postecoglou seems to be pleased with the progress of transfer activity with two weeks still to go before the opening SPFL match of the season at home to Aberdeen.
Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton left Celtic at the end of last season, Karamoke Dembele signed for Brest as a free agent with Boli Bolingoli joining Mechelen while Ismaila Soro has gone out on loan to Portuguese side Arouca.
