Ange Postecoglou starts with what looks like his strongest side for today’s friendly against Norwich City.

Liel Abada and Giorgos Giakoumakis may have a claim for a starting place but eight days before the SPFL opener Postecoglou starts with what appears close to his first choice side with recent signings Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jenz named among the substitutes.

Carl Starfelt is the only injury concern going into the new season with Stephen Welsh joining Cameron Carter-Vickers in central defence for the fifth game in succession.

In attack Kyogo gets the nod with Jota on the right-wing while Daizen Maeda motors up and down the other wing.

Norwich start their Championship campaign next weekend, after today’s match they cross the country to take on Hibs at Easter Road.

CELTIC: Hart; Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Taylor; McGregor, Hatate, O’Riley; Jota, Kyogo, Maeda

SUBS: Bain, Siegrist, Jullien, Jenz, Giakoumakis, Abada, Mooy, Turnbull, McCarthy, Ideguchi, Bernabei, Forrest, Ralston

Good to see we have some decent competition in goal.

Strong line up today: hope Taylor ups his game this season, surrounded by better players?

What a difference though to this time last season!
