The final countdown to the signing of Jota has been completed with Celtic’s social media team getting that Friday feeling.Â
On Wednesday Portuguese publishers were commenting on a Thursday move for the Benfica man, late on Thursday night Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports News announced that a four year contract had been agreed.Â
At around 9.25 am this morning Celtic confirmed the move from Benfica, soon after a teasing tweet that pointed very clearly towards the signing of Jota.Â

Throughout the summer fans have tracked the winger’s movement from Ibiza through New York and Cancun before a stop off back in Lisbon. Putting those flights together alongside a blast of the Jota on the Wing song all points in a very definite direction.Â
With the move confirmed Jota should be on board a flight to Austria on Monday to resume his football career with Celtic in pre-season action on Wednesday and Saturday.Â
