In a 23 word statement, Rangers International have announced the appointment of George Taylor as a director.

Normally these type of announcements are accompanied by stories of a dream come true for a lifelong fan, praising the clubs history and looking forward to exciting new developments through future investment.

The brief statement suggests that the appointment could be hostile with Taylor part of the Three Bears consortium that brought Dave King to power in March 2005.  The others were Douglas Park and George Letham with Paul Murray chasing a blazer on the sidelines assisting with media relations..

King has recently been hinting at a return to the boardroom after walking away in March 2020 and being unable to offload his shares to Club 1872.

The Board of Rangers International Football Club PLC is delighted to welcome the appointment of George Taylor as a Director of the Company.

An hour after the club statement none of the on-message fan media outlets were out cheerleading the appointment.

Despite claims of record turnover for the year to 30 June 2022 Giovanni van Bronckhorst has spent less than half of the money allegedly brought in by the transfer fees from selling Joe Arbo and Calvin Bassey.

After paying off Sports Direct earlier in the year and repaying King his loan it seems that there is no more funds available to van Bronckhorst unless the club can sell more players.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

If Craig Whyte wins his reported £10M compo claim against Police Scotland / the COPFS,

maybe he could provide Ibrox with a cheap loan?
