Angelo Fulgini is on the brink of signing for Bundesliga side Mainz despite being linked with an imaginative move to Ibrox.

With a £6m price tag even in the wildest imagination of Giovanni van Bronckhorst there is no chance of the Frenchman heading to Ibrox.

At the weekend reports from France claimed that there had been multiple bids from Ibrox for the Angers midfielder, it seems that those tales were designed to speed things up with Mainz.

Outlining the new imaginative transfer policy at Ibrox, Jackson told Daily Record readers:

The imaginative, cut price captures of Antonio Colak and Tom Lawrence have lit a fire under the Dutchman’s summer and now it seems likely that van Bronckhorst and director of football Ross Wilson are only just getting started.

If French playmaker Angelo Fulgini and Welsh wing man Rabbi Matondo also arrive at Auchenhowie over the course of the next few days then the Dutchman – and his head of hiring and firing – will have significantly strengthened the club’s attacking armoury ahead of the new campaign.

It seems that there is a £2m cap on van Bronckhorst’s imagination but with Aribo gone his midfield options look even more pedestrian with Ryan Jack, John Lundstram, Glen Kamara and Steve Davis barely able to provide a combined tally of 10 goals per season.

The real issue here is Keech Jackshun’s imagination or more properly his pishful thinking when it comes to his beloved sevco.

This toady could not debase himself any further if he tried.
