Kris Boyd believes that the company that he works for is great for Scottish football.

The former Kilmarnock striker has become the face of Scottish football with a constant flow of compliments for all things Ibrox before being posted missing when Celtic pick up the honours.

Boys complete lack of judgement was most obvious when Aaron Ramsey moved on loan to the Tribute Act in January.

As other clubs completed business on Deadline Day Boyd was running around high-fiving as he welcomed the greatest signing since Gazza to arrive in Scottish football.

It seemed that an injury-prone 30 something got the juices flowing for the pundit while the rest of Scottish football sat back before celebrating a penalty from Ramsey three months later.

Drooling over the prospect of continued employment until 2029, Boyd told The Sun:

It was fantastic to hear news of talks between the SPFL and Sky Sports over an extended TV deal for Scottish football.

People always have an opinion on Sky and like to jump up and have a moan. But over the years, the broadcasting giant is the only one to put their money where their mouth is.

Sky have served Scottish football well and yet again, it seems the company is willing to guarantee big money to back our game.

No doubt there will still be rumblings about Sky, but what I will say is that other broadcasters have had the chance to come forward with a better offer. And once again, it looks like they are nowhere to be seen.

Tomorrow Boyd will be sharing his wisdom at the Kilmarnock v Celtic match with Sky showing it at 12 noon as a warm up to their EPL matches.

Sky Sports no longer show the League Cup, Scottish Cup, Scotland international matches or UEFA club competitions.

The very fact that they give the likes of him a plattform just sums up the whole rotten lot. In a time of a cost of living crisis football fans are actually paying towards his salary you really could not make it up.

I know it’s safe to say that when intelligent brain cells were being distributed by the Good Lord, Boyd was having his dinner! Double helpings! If Sky are of the opinion that this bunker nut is the future of their Scottish football coverage, God help us.

Sky TV are brilliant because they ignore the fact that my ex-Football Club died in 2012 and they are prepared to carry on as if nothing had happened for the benefit of all the glory glory protestant basterds in the west of Scotland who think along blinkered lines because they are unable to change the way they think even although the Truth stares them straight in the face. That is in fact what he means.

2012 was an opportunity for RFC to ditch their baggage of the past and open the door to a new Scotland, based on fairness and equality. But they chose to decline that opportunity. Who knows if that chance will come again, maybe never! And who knows what the consequences of that decision will be. A better Scotland for our kids, almost certainly not?!

The old divisions of the past will be maintained and Scotland will remain a divided country with no underlying harmony. Pillars of History which have divided the people of Scotland will be maintained and certainly, Scotland will lose the place it had been offered in a new world order, transformed by a genuine concern for the well-being of other people. Greed and the lust for power, for the privileged few, have been grasped. The people of Scotland have been allocated their lot – and that is all they are going to get.

The Cost of Living Crisis is upon us and we all have to deal with it as best we can. But woe to the people who had the opportunity to make Scotland better and fairer for all of it’s people and chose not to!
