Ross Wilson is left picking up the pieces this morning, with seven days left to flog the most damaged goods in Scottish football.

Nine transfer windows full of moonbeams have amounted to a couple of polite enquiries, informed that the price genuinely was Dembele Dollars every club decided to look elsewhere for a striker.

Signed for £1m in the summer of 2017 by Pedro Caixinha, Alfredo Morelos could have fetched £7-8m at some points in his Ibrox career but today his value is back to that of the former HJK Helsinki starlet.

Since the infamous bid from China in January 2017 that forced Kheredine Idessane into an incredible u-turn the transfer of Morelos has been one of the great sideshows of Scottish football.

Fantasy interest has been dressed up from far and wide, every corner of Europe and beyond without any realistic negotiations taking place.

Yesterday things turned into complete farce as his club leaked to Sky Sports News exactly what every Internet Bampot has been suggesting. Alfie is overweight, has lost interest and is a disruptive influence in the dressing room.

Why that news wasn’t kept in-house with efforts made to shift the striker in the last week of the window is anyone’s guess.

The ball is now in Morelos’ court, the club has publicly shamed him, questioned his professionalism. He can now sit tight, fulfil his contractual duties, pick up the pay days then head off wherever he likes next summer. As a free agent.

  • Scud Missile says:

He will eventually get barred from Murray Park and ibrox as he will be a total distraction to the team causing all sorts of hassle.
Should they not punt him they will pay him off just to get him off the premises.
As I said previously should they get pumped tonight they will start fighting amongst themselves in the dressing room and start to blame each other leading to more disharmony.

The timing of the SMSM lackeys slaughtering Thickness is no coincidence, he is now deemed a disruptive player that they’ll just be glad to get rid of…. PSV defeat, his fault etc

Just a month ago he was going to sign a new contract and be sold for *£20+ next summer – what’s changed?

In little over a week a player worth millions will walk out the door (metaphorically) for NOTHING, thats a disastrous decision, despite the media’s fire fighting..
