Now that they are back on-message with their friends at Ibrox it seems that the gags are flowing at BBC Scotland.

Jonathan Sutherland is from the Shetland Isles but knows the way to the top at BBC Scotland is the one Follow Followed by Kenny Macintyre, Alasdair Lamont, Jane Lewis and Steven Thompson with dozens more behind the scenes as reporters and researchers.

Tonight on Sportscene Sutherland had to put his best face on as he introduced the highlights from Tannadice and Celtic’s nine goal show.

Colleague Liam MacLeod was deep into his Rothmans Year Books as he spewed out statistics rather than describe the action, skills and goals on display at Tannadice.

The only consolation for the state broadcaster was that Celtic ‘only’ scored nine goals, being on the BBC payroll Sutherland couldn’t resist a dig at the significance.

You’ll never hear Sutherland and his BBC chums mention a certain word that starts with L and ends in iquidation. The events of 2012 are a bit too painful for the employs of the BBC who’ve only had two trophies to celebrate while trying to downplay the FACT! That Celtic have won 14 of the last 18 domestic trophies.

Sutherland’s entire career has been spent inside the BBC, he recently married a presenter with BBC Alba.

The same wee wanker that described Aiden McGeady as Aiden McTraitor on Sportscene some years ago.

No talent no brains and fuck all going for him with a coupon that only a mother could love, yet one of the stars of BBC sport.

    Only in Scotland.
