Kyogo Furuhashi was in irresistible form at Tannadice as Celtic raced into a 4-0 half-time lead.
The former Vissel Kobe striker had opened the scoring in Celtic’s last three matches- today he went one step further with a first half double that Dundee United had no answer to.
Ange Postecoglou made three changes to the team that beat Hearts 2-0 last week with Liel Abada reunited in attack with Kyogo and Jota.
After a seven minute stoppage to allow Joe Hart treatment for a head injury the visitors went in front with 15 minutes on the clock.
Abada opened the United defence up with a pass to Jota who quickly squared to Kyogo who shot home confidently from 18 yards out.

The second from Kyogo will be long remembered as he instinctively drove a 23 yard shot beyond the United keeper.
During stoppage time Kyogo completed his hat-trick with a close range finish after Matt O’Riley and Abada had opened up the United defence with Jota making it 4-0 in the sixth minute of added time.
