Ally McCoist put aside his cheeky chappie routine as he watched the Ibrox Tribute Act taken apart by Ajax.

There wasn’t a single gag from the media darling as he sat suffering alongside Kenny Miller as the pictures and goals came in from Amsterdam.

From the first few minutes the home side dominated, in the 17th minute they took the lead through a Alvarez header as James Tavernier and Connor Goldson marked each other.

By half-time Ajax were three goals in front, the scoreline flattered the visitors with McCoist and Miller letting rip at half time.

After losing to Celtic a reaction was expected, van Bronckhorst made one change with a similarly heartless display served up.

Ajax cruised through the second half, scoring once from a Ryan Jack assist. Afterwards McCoist piled in again, questioning the attitude of van Bronckhorst’s players which is about the biggest slur that can be aimed at a professional.

    Did the sleekit one also say;

    “Who are these people, posing as Rangers players?!”

    Maybe not, but those are the players – and that is pretty much the squad – that sevco is stuck with until next summer.

    🙂

      And yet Bob, these are the players that are worth mega millions in Sevco £’s and minds but still have to suffer the humiliation of being unwanted outside of Ibrox. EG, Goldson getting no offers when he’s actually free. Happy Hoop I am.

    Super swally in the second half looked and sounded like his meds had really kicked in ! At half time it was like somebody had trampled all over his newly planted Geraniums and Pansies with tackety boots on ! Poor wee Alistair .
