Over the last 15 months the Australian media has looked on with some wonderment at Ange Postecoglou’s impact with Celtic.

Scottish football is a curious place. In Yokohama F Marinos second or third can be a decent season, for Celtic that would be a disaster.

With his regular media appearances an Australian audience has discovered more about Celtic and how Scottish football has adapted to Ange. When he arrived Steven Gerrard was the biggest figure on the landscape, without doubt Celtic’s straight talking Greek-Aussie is the main man.

Tonight’s match needs no introduction. Even non-football fans know about the Champions League and Real Madrid, no introduction or explanation is needed.

With the match kicking off in the early hours of the morning some face will be up very early to share the action as it happens but throughout Wednesday morning there will be coverage of how their missionary to Scottish football fared on the biggest stage of all.

Great change of tack from Ange to answer the question. But don’t laugh Chris, you don’t get paid by the BBC to do it!
