The Unique Angle of Celtic TV had to be at its sharpest to capture all the action from yesterday’s Demolition Derby.

While Giovanna van Bronckhorst’s side were caught cold by quickly taken throw-ins and free-kicks the camera crew knew to follow the action as the goals flew in past John McLaughlin.

After just eight minutes Greg Taylor and Jota were combining for a quick throw, seconds later Liel Abada was racing over to celebrate his goal with the Green Brigade, then heading to the dug-out to pick up a T-shirt.

Two more goals flew in before the break before the comic-cuts that contributed to David Turnbull’s goal.

There is no explanation for Jon McLaughlin’s thought process, Turnbull wasn’t for waiting around as he slipped the ball home before receiving the adulation of 59,000 jubilant fans inside Celtic Park.

Next up it is Real Madrid and the promise of another busy night for those behind the Celtic TV cameras.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

Wouldn’t have been surprised to see men in white coats plus ambulance men on for McLaughlin. He will need “Care in the Community” after a howler like that!
