The world of rap music has been plunged into 10 days of official mourning following the announcement that Coolio passed away overnight.

Across the UK fans woke up to the tragic news that the 59-year-old had been found unresponsive in the home of one of his friends.

In one of visits to the UK Coolio popped in on Celtic Park in 2017, making an unscripted half-time appearance on Celtic TV that left an impact on fans that witnessed the moment.

Celtic are due to play Motherwell on Saturday but are awaiting word from the SPFL about whether the match will be postponed. One Celtic fan even suggested that Liverpool’s midweek Champions League tie should be put back a day as a mark of respect.

Tributes are expected throughout the day to Coolio, some TV stations have already changed their schedules with Liam Boyce of Hearts now wearing a white shirt and black tie.
