Not even a 2-1 win over Dundee United could spare Giovanni van Bronckhorst from a torrent of abuse on his own club’s Twitter account.

After going into a comfortable lead early in the second half the last 30 minutes was spent hanging on against a team without a manager or victory this season. Last month Celtic win 9-0 away to United at Tannadice.

A multitude of issues are swarming across Ibrox with the manager appearing to be at odds with the board of directors and Transfer guru Ross Wilson.

Against Napoli none of the seven summer signings were in the starting line up, today Murray Park starlets Leon King and Charlie McCann were in from the start with Ben Davies and Ridvan Yilmaz watching from the bench once again.

Antonio Colak scored both goals but wasn’t except from criticism with every area of the team being slated by fans although the main source of anger was directed at the dug-out.

Next up after the international break is a trip to face Hearts at Tynecastle followed by Liverpool at Anfield.
