Alfredo Morelos’ exploding waistline in pictures

Ally McCoist and Graham Spiers are the least likely duo to put the boot into an Ibrox star but the sight of Alfredo Morelos in Napoli on Wednesday night was too much to bear.

When the teams came out it looked like the famous Orange Castore kit was a size too small for the striker but the images below show how much he has ballooned over the last few years. At the same time as his scoring return has declined, this season he has a miserable record of 2 goals from 14 appearances.

Antonio Colak can’t be played in every single game, there are already signs that the Croat’ early scoring rate is starting to tail off.

Kemar Roofe has been restricted to two brief appearances off the bench leaving Morelos as the only option to reduce the load on Colak. Quite clearly Giovanni van Bronckhorst doesn’t trust the Colombian, so far this season he has yet to play 90 minutes with a substitution, on or off, around the 70th minute the norm.

There are five more matches before the World Cup break, if Morelos treats himself to a holiday or a trip home to Colombia during that break the issue could be even bigger at the end of the year.

At the age of 26 and in the final eight months of his contract Morelos isn’t doing himself any favours after 10 transfer windows without a genuine offer being put in for his services.
