Celtic boost as defender returns to training

After missing Celtic’s last three matches Cameron Carter-Vickers has resumed full training.

The defender picked up a knock during Celtic’s 1-1 draw away to Shakhtar Donetsk on September 14 and has been missing ever since.

Ange Postecoglou sounded hopeful of having Carter-Vickers back for the weekend after taking the decision to leave him behind from Wednesday’s Champions League tie away to RB Leipzig.

Stephen Welsh and Moritz Jenz have played together in the last three matches but a fully fit Carter-Vickers would become the first pick against St Johnstone tomorrow.

Postecoglou will have to take account of the short turn around before Tuesday’s match against Leipzig when he picks his side tomorrow with the Germans looking strong and confident as they took control of the Champions League match in the second half.

Liel Abada should be available to face St Johnstone after missing the Leipzig tie for religeous reasons with Giorgos Giakoumakis a contender to start in attack ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi.

IMHO, to miss being available for ANY match, let alone a CL match, for ‘religious’ reasons is absolute and utter bollox, as is the aforesaid “religion” in general. It’s 2022 FFS, we’re supposed to have the benefit of education; we’ve had indoctrination and some have fallen for it hook, line and sinker. There is no god, it’s bullshit. Accept it and get on with it. Maybe read some Scottish/English/Irish history and ask yourself would you be of the ‘faith’ you are today if you’d known the truth. It cost Ireland it’s correct position of being a Socialist Republic, possibly the 1st proper one on this planet. Ask James Connolly what he thought. (or, rather, read about it!!)
And, Kyogo’s better and gives more options than GG. E.G. Kyogo’s perfect assist for our only goal (finished brilliantly by Jota) on Wednesday when GG would’ve shot and probably missed.
GG’s got ability but lacks humility; too much in love with himself for my liking.
Finally, is there a way to have ‘conversations’ on this site?
    I see many comments I’d like to engage with but have no clue how/if to do so. :-}

    • Jorge says:

Can’t see why anyone would want to “engage” with you.

        Top Comment.
Celtic is a Club for all faiths and None.
I’m nominally Catholic but don’t believe.
However I respect the rights of others to believe and practice their own Faith.
If it gives them strength, solace in adversity who am I to object.
As for Tic Toc, he has plenty of engagement on Etims when he’s not making a chunt of himself

        • TicToc says:

Aye, like other comment on various (Tim) sites, there’s the put-down without evidence of why. Too FN scared to try to make sense of blind antithesis.
I’m a life-long Tim, a Socialist and believer in the James Connolly value.
I’ll listen to reasonable argument, not to indoctrinated and self-serving pricks.
          I think there’s a choice there.

      • TicToc says:

        Karma’s a bitch.
        Indoctrination is worse, ‘Jorge’.
It would be nice if you took the time, as I do, to explain yourself.
        Open………..

      • TicToc says:

So, the ‘slaps’ without explanation is okay to you ‘people’?

I’d kinda like to meet you.
‘Conversations’ online almost always lose the definition one would hope to put across tete a tete. You just, mildly, abused me. I can accept that but dependant on ‘where you’re coming from’ I require clarification.
Did you mean ‘shiftiness’? Or “chiftiness”? Nadir’s correct.
Fukk this, have the balls to explain yourself or just shut TF up.
