Chris Sutton tried to keep a sense of perspective as Celtic came to terms with a 3-1 Champions League defeat to RB Leipzig.
It was a night of some promise, Jota scored a brilliant equaliser but self-inflicted wounds proved costly as the German side won their first points of the tournament with their confidence soaring during the second half.
The turning point came in the 64th minute when Joe Hart’s slack pass presented Andre Silva with Leipzig’s second goal just seconds after the home side had a second ‘goal’ on the night disallowed by VAR.
Unforgiving the Champions League. Leipzig the better team when Callum McGregor went off and a truly brilliant third goal from Andre Silva. Mustn’t forget how far the team have come under Ange Postecoglou and keep the faith. Celtic are stretched at the moment. Next week huge?

Leipzig had bounced back from being back on level terms to push Celtic back. In the first half the hoops had 10 attempts on goal but after the break it was Hart’s goal that was under constant pressure.
Injuries to Callum McGregor add to Ange Postecoglou’s problems with a difficult match on Saturday away to St Johnstone to be overcome before squaring up to Leipzig again on Tuesday.
cant complain best team won harsh lesson in the champions leauge but are we learning or just not good enough.
