Wishful thinking as Kris Boyd drops Celtic into second place in the SPFL

Kris Boyd is still thinking over that point on Saturday afternoon when Celtic were drawing with Hearts.

The former Kilmarnock striker was watching the action from Tynecastle and projecting it forward to tea-time and a change in leadership at the top of the SPFL Premiership.

Last June, in an early training session, Ange Postecoglou introduced the phrase We Never Stop to Scottish football, it seems like Boyd wasn’t paying attention.

A fortnight earlier Giorgos Giakoumakis came up with a stoppage time winner away to St Johnstone, on Saturday Greg Taylor popped up with the winner after just 76 minutes.

Football produces plenty of ‘what if’ moments and fine margins but with 11 matches played, the majority of them away from home, Celtic are already four points clear, the same margin as last season’s title triumph.

Picking up on his wishful thinking, Football Scotland reports Boyd saying:

It’s four points at this moment in time. If you go back, 15 minutes before the end of the Hearts versus Celtic game, there is an opportunity for Rangers to maybe go and win the game and go top.

It’s thin lines at this moment in time. I think because of the way Rangers have been playing, they will probably be saying to themselves, ‘Let’s hang on in there and get to the World Cup.

The weekend was a disappointment for Rangers in terms of dropping points, but you’ve got to say Celtic look as if they are the team right now with the momentum. Ange Postecoglou seems to stick by the same team, he’s mixed it up recently, obviously because of the European exertions and then coming back home.

They dropped points against St Mirren, but other than that, they’ve won all of their games. They are in a good place, they are confident and they’ve got a bigger squad than Rangers at this moment in time as well. I wouldn’t be ruling Rangers out at this precise moment. Yes, Saturday was a disappointment, but four points can be turned around pretty quickly, that’s for sure.

A win on Saturday over Aberdeen for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side will cut the gap at the top of the table to one point with Celtic away to Livingston the following day.

Boyd is a buffoon. Rangers have a large squad but only a basic 15 or 16 to choose from. The rest are shite.

He is a head-less bluenose and a bad loser.

With Worzel Gummidge and Aunt Sally in charge for the Aberdeen game sevco will certainly only be one point behind us come 4.45pm on Saturday with at least a half dozen goals eating into our goal difference,at least 3 penalties for sevco on Saturday with a couple offside goals thrown in for good measure and Aberdeen players sent off.

Another example of why Scottish media is an absolute joke
Ktis Void cannot hide his disdain for our club, the fact he gets paid to look and sound like an imbecile, shows how desperate they are to have a go at our club any way they can
Kris, ever heard the expression “And if your granny had balls, she’d be your granda”
