A friendly against Bayer Leverkusen on December 10 will allow Beale a chance to see his players in action as they aim to establish the building blocks ahead of their bid to claw back Celtic’s significant nine-point advantage atop the Scottish Premiership.
In a recent podcast Beale claimed that Celtic wouldn’t have won the SPFL title last season if Steven Gerrard had remained in charge.
With basically the same squad of players to pick from he should soon be able to put together a challenge for this season’s title, when Napoli won 3-0 at Ibrox in September James Sands was the only player in the starting XI that had been signed by van Bronckhorst.
