Dan Orlowitz wasn’t pulling his words as he watched Japan crash to defeat against Costa Rica in Qatar today.
After beating Germany 2-1 in their opening group match the stage was set to make progress against opponents coming off a 7-0 defeat to Spain.
The thinking of coach Hajime Moriyasu have long been a mystery to Celtic supporters with Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate failing to make it into the 26 strong squad on duty in Qatar.
With Daizen Maeda left on the bench today Japan put in a tepid performance, lost to Costa Rica’s only shot at goal which means that a defeat to Spain in the final group match will lead to an early exit just over a week after shocking Germany.
Moriyasu is unlikely to survive an early exit but a visit to United Nations International Court of Justice might be a step too far!
I’m not sure there’s an explanation for that result that doesn’t end in Moriyasu being sent to the Hague instead of flying back to Japan after this tournament ends.

Reo & Kyogo should have been in the squad.

Japan should have won that, when you leave out Kyogo and Hatate ???? what is else there to say

Kyogo done nothing in Europe against better opponents than spl and Hatate struggles to last 90 minutes, that’s why they weren’t in the squad.simple.
Don’t Drop Daizen! Bad decision shows manager is not with it!
