Kris Boyd has dropped the price tag on the best player in Scotland to just £1m- on a good day.

Th Sky Sports pundit is well used to making a fool of himself, earlier this season he refused to contemplate that Jota is the best player in the country.

Pushed on th subject he mentioned that the best player in the country had just came back from injury, the day after Morelos had made his first appearance of the season.

To say that th Colombian has had a nightmare time of it in the Champions League would be an understatement with back to back sitters against Napoli and Ajax going viral.

With his contract expiring in May there could be some big decisions to be made in January- if anyone is interested in an out of form and out of condition striker with serious disciplinary issues.

After explaining why he would keep Ryan Kent, writing in The Sun, Boyd admits:

Morelos is another in the same situation – out of form and out of contract. Rangers missed the boat when it came to selling him at the peak of his powers.

What is the point of being a ‘trading’ club when you don’t cash in at the height of players’ valuation.

They could have got in excess of £12m for Morelos and that was 12 times what they paid for him. Now you would be lucky to get your £1m back on the Colombian striker. And that is being generous.

Filip Helander and Ryan Jack are also out of contract at the end of the season as well as the Dads Army trio of Allan McGregor, Steve Davis and Scott Arfield.
