Michael Beale has insisted that there is nothing broken inside Ibrox.

The day after being appointed as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s successor he spoke to Sky Sports in the dull, managerial buzz words that sound as if they have been passed on from Steven Gerrard.

As well as fans being back inside stadiums Beale will notice a huge number of changes since he was giving a lift to Mister Gerrard for training at Murray Park.

The group of players brought together in 2018 have almost all gone stale, a core are six months from being out of contract while Celtic are unrecognisable from the Lawwell/Lennon combo that crashed and burned away from the glare of supporters.

Under van Bronckhorst this season there have been parallels to the Celtic situation of two seasons ago but Beale thinks that positive comments with the media can transform the worst team to ever appear in the Champions League.

Watching the interview with Sky Sports tonight, Football Scotland reports Beale saying:

Six months ago this was the Europa League finalists. I got offered the chance to work with the Europa League finalists and that is a huge privilege and sense of pride coming back.

This team is not as broken as people think. If people think that outside then the only people that can change that are the people inside and we’ve got to go now. There’s no time to wait so if people are not all in then they can go to one side and the people who are I’ll move forward with those.

Two midweek matches at Aberdeen on December 20 and three days later at Ross County should give Beale a full picture of the demoralised squad that he will be working his magic on.

If nothing was broken Beale would be stuck at QPR fluttering his eyelashes at Ross Wilson and Stewart Robertson.

Can Celtic stop Michael Beale from winning the treble?

Quite simple, the Final and cup happened when he was gone, along with the guy he ditched at Villa. One league under dubious circumstances.
