Manuel Veth has tweeted that Alistair Johnston’s transfer to Celtic has been completely agreed.
The defender has been very strongly linked with a move to the Scottish champions and has spoken openly about the move while on World Cup duty for Canada.
Last week Celtic announced the signing of Yuki Kobayashi six weeks before the January transfer window opens with the defender expected to join his new team-mates in Portugal for warm weather training.
According to Veth everything for the Johnston move is sitting in place with just the timing of the announcement to be finalised.

With Canada completing their World Cup fixtures tomorrow against Morocco it seems possible that the Johnston announcement could take place by this weekend.
Josip Juranovic remains a Celtic player and first choice right-back but the official arrival of Johnston is bound to increase speculation that the Croatian is set to leave the Scottish champions.
Why oh why ,are we buying an less than average player, seemingly to replace a proven international quality player.
