The Wee Rangers Club has been placed in liquidation.

Located on Edmiston Drive between Broomloan Road and Helen Street it appears to have the perfect location for thirsty bears but it seems that the blue pound isn’t quite what it used to be.

Liquidation of course brings an end to the history of the pub/social club which has been an essential stopping off point for generations of bears.

With creditors piling up the Liquidator will have to sell off whatever they can then divide that pot up among creditors.

With Irish pubs booming out of the Gallowgate and Merchant City to other areas the former Wee Rangers Club might be all kitted out in green and white for St Patrick’s Day and take advantage of the large numbers of Celtic fans in Govan and Hillington.

It’s not been liquidated, it’s being sent down the pub leagues. ?????

They’d mebbe need the Pope himself to get a bit of the old Exorcism going first …too much evil has been present inside those walls….

I wonder if the Wee Clubs Committee have had a chance to take down
Auld Lizzie’s mugshots and replace them with portraits of Chaz of the Palais de Nobs yet.
( couple of in-laws of the Hunnish persuasion. Attended a few obligatory family events there.
Always managed to be out before the BritNat Anthem played. Mea Culpa.).

  • The Official Receiver says:

They’ve updated their Facebook page in the last hour indicating that reports of their death (or in this case, liquidation) are greatly exaggerated…..????

  • BriBhoy says:

Don’t worry. Our board will probably figure out a secret agreement that means that any buyer can continue to run it as the original business, allowing it to continue its uninterrupted history of unsurpassed dignity.
