After six days of silence follow following the 1-1 draw against St Mirren Giovanni van Bronckhorst has resurfaced to reflect on his first year in charge at Ibrox.
To the delight of Celtic supporters there is absolutely no hint that the Dutchman will be picking up the £4.5m remaining on his contract which still has two and a half years to run.
During his year in charge van Bronckhorst has produced the worst ever Champions League performance, surrendered a six point lead in the SPFL and fallen nine points behind Celtic in the race for the 22/23 title.
Sitting alongside six Champions League defeats that produced a goal difference of 2-22 are two defeats at Celtic where he delivered half-time team talks with his side trailing 3-0 and the white flag waving out of the away dressing room.
After surviving the Champions League humiliations there was an expectation that nine points from the three SPFL matches before the World Cup break would keep alive the prospect of overtaking Celtic.
Three dismal performances with the Dutch horse-shoe system largely snuffed out returned just four points as Celtic more than doubled the gap at the top of the Premiership.
With no sign of leadership in the Blue Room or a transfer war-chest for a new manager the loyal bears have been handed Carry on Gio whether they like it or not with trips to Aberdeen and Ross County on December 20 and 23 to look forward to.

Rangers fans should kiss the ground that Gio walks on. Without him getting to the EL final and then qualifying for the CL group stages, Rangers would be facing a £20 to £30m black hole in their finances.
