On Friday he was being presented with the SPFL Player of the Moth award, at Aberdeen this afternoon Sead Haksabanovic was posted missing.

Jota and Daizen Maeda started in the wide positions with Liel Abada and James Forrest coming off the bench as Celtic pushed for the breakthrough that Callum McGregor delivered in the 85th minute.

As the word illustrated Haksabanovic went into the World Cup break on top form, having someone to drive at defenders from a central position was a skill that was posted missing today.

The Daily Record reports:

PostecoglouĀ told Sky Sports: “He just picked up a knock in training yesterday, unfortunately. He was all set to go.”

During commentary of the match Ian Crocker suggested that the former Rubin Kazan winger should be in contention for Wednesday’s match at home to Livingston.

There didn’t appear to be any fresh injuries picked up during today’s match with the four substitutions made being in midfield and attack.

Celtic face two matches a week but after largely coping with the schedule before the break they shouldn’t be fazed by the upcoming matches which include trips to Easter Road and Ibrox over the next fortnight.
