It is fair to say that Chris Sutton is impressed by Celtic’s new approach to transfer business.
Late this morning the club announced the signing of Tomoki Iwata from Yokohama F Marinos, the third completed deal with just the January 1 rubber-stamping to be completed.

On the final day of 2021 Celtic announced the signings of Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi, halfway through January Matt O’Riley of MK Dons was added with three of those players influential in winning the SPFL title from six points behind.
In contrast to the Ange way Celtic carried out their business very differently in January 2021 with Jonjoe Kenny brought in in the final days of business after Jeremie Frimpong and Hatem Abd Elhamed moved out in the other direction.
Alistair Johnston and Yuki Kobayashi have already been training with Celtic ahead of their January 1 moves with attention now on the possibility of signing a striker and some possible departures.
