Barry Ferguson is tipping Alfredo Morelos to quit Ibrox next month despite the magical powers of Mick Beale.

For more than a fortnight the Scottish media has been revealing details of the incredible training sessions, management skills and motivational ability of the new boss at Ibrox.

It seems that Beale actually masterminded one trophy in nine while Steven Gerrard and Gary McAllister were simply in place as figureheads while the first team coach masterminded operations.

In 12 months in charge Giovanni van Bronckhorst reached one European Final and delivered Champions League football but it seems that he was just keeping the seat warm for the Return of Beale.

All sorts of promises have been delivered but going off message on Go Radio Ferguson is expecting Morelos to be surplus to requirements.

Listening to their columnist tonight, the Daily Record reports the former Alloa boss saying:

I think Morelos could be on the move. Ryan Kent – there could be a possibility that he’ll stay on because of the previous relationship he’s had with Michael Beale. Not just the three years at Ibrox but he knew him as a young kid coming through at Liverpool, so that could sway him.

Ryan Kent’s struggled for form but one thing I’ve always said about him is you can’t fault his effort. He did work hard, it just wasn’t coming off for him.

Maybe he was trying too hard but I do still think there’s a dangerous player in there who can be a match winner but Morelos on the other hand, I can’t see him staying. I’m sure there’ll be a bit of interest in him but if you’re asking my opinion, I do think he’ll be on the move

Morelos, Kent and five other first team players are out of contract in May, despite speculation linking him with top European clubs Morelos is likely to return to Colombia in the summer.

Wee Barra could be right . Kent might manage to win one match for the ten year old club. But after that, I don’t see him doing much!
I see those RMT Union boys have seen that the trains will be running for the Bears going to the game on Thursday. Despite that they have chosen to strike the two days before and the two days after. Who says an Ipox Ticket doesn’t come with benefits?

I don’t recall Barry’s deep connection with any of his old Rangers managers, or his lifelong, uberstaunch support of Staunch FC stopping him from leaving the Crumble Dome for the dazzlingly bright lights of …. erm…. Blackburn. So why does he think Kent will stay on to play Bealeball at the Skintco if a better offer comes through, maybe from a top Championship side down south (you need more than just aimless step-overs in your locker for the EPL, so he’s not going there)?
