It’s a grim life when you have waited five weeks for a match only to sit in the frozen cold with your side ‘enjoying’ just 19% possession in a home match.
When the consolation of a point is whipped away from you in the 85th minute right in front of your eyes the temperature drops a notch or two with the air turning blue to greet Callum McGregor’s winner.
Before the match Jim Goodwin has been bullish about his side’s chances, six wins out of seven on home soil even had some digging out claims about Fortress Pittodrie.

Other than the Lockdown Season it has been straight wins all the way for Celtic at Pittodrie since Tom Rogic pinged in a winner in October 2016. The Wizard has gone but the magic is still there for the visiting fans as the squeeze in to a corner of Pittodrie and look out at sections of empty seats all around.
Fortunately for the Dons fans they don’t have to wait five weeks for their next match, on Tuesday they can welcome Ryan Jack home and send him back down the road facing an even more miserable Christmas.
