Anyone paying attention over the last couple of weeks will realise that the only interest in Michael Beale’s life is himself. Self promotion first, second and last. Every time.
Six weeks ago QPR fans were admiring his honesty as he spoke out about how he wouldn’t be first to jump ship. The Championship club currently has a vacancy for their first team manager.
Despite the obvious warnings some Ibrox fans are already smitten by his pledges of loyalty- from a guy in his fourth job in 13 months.
Just as Craig Whyte, Charles Green and others pledged their loyalty to the Blue Pound Beale has spent his first 48 hours telling bears what they want to hear. The last three months have been a bad dream but with the return of the bibs n cones guy everything is going to get better again. And they are buying into it in their droves.
Fed on the hour by video clips and tales from the Daily Record it seems like a global superpower is going to emerge from the home dressing room when Hibs come calling on December 15.
After eight defeats between September 3 and November 6 there seems to be no sense of reality among Ibrox fans, it seems that the reaction to adversity is to indulge even more in delusions about how utterly huge their club is, their incredible heritage alongside expectations and demands.
