Legia Warsaw are standing by for a £1m bonus on the sale of Josip Juranovic.

Six impressive performances at the World Cup Finals has put the spotlight on the defender who is strongly tipped for a January move.

In August 2021 Legia sold the defender to Celtic for £2.5m but included a 10% sell on clause which seems to be standard practise.

An offer of £15m is probably required to bring Celtic to negotiations which would see more than £1m on the way to Poland to keep all parties happy.

The Sun reports:

LEGIA WARSAW are set to bank a chunk of Josip Juranovic’s transfer fee when he quits Celtic. The Hoops snapped up the Croatian World Cup star from the Polish side for around £2.5million 18 months ago.

But Legia inserted a sell-on clause — believed to be 10 per cent of any profit made by Celtic — and hope to land a major January windfall.

Juranovic is being chased by Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad and Torino — and Parkhead chiefs are braced for huge bids.

Celtic will want a fee in excess of £10m, with the Legia board hopeful of banking a seven-figure sum.

The report was written by the well connected David Friel, last February he had exclusive news of Neil Lennon’s resignation 10 hours before the Stock Market announcement.

With Alistair Johnston signed from Montreal it seems that Celtic have advanced plans for life without Juranovic.

Can’t blame the Celtic fans, Scuddy Boy. The majority of fans just want to see a game on a Saturday or more often if they can.

When Michael Beale said we need help to catch CELTIC. After last night’s match against hibs the officials agree with him and are doing all “they” can to assist Michael and “the rangers” . Now counting the fourth official we have 3 “qualified referees” and 1 has slow motion replays, cameras showing all sorts of angles. And still we are told we are having some “teathing problems” or “human error” until those are sorted all clubs affected should stop paying for the “new technology” the SFA/SPFL would sort it pretty damn quick…..call me a cynic or a sycic…I predict only one club will not take part.
