After a reference to the World Cup Finals the Scottish media really got down to business at the Celtic media conference today, apparently to preview tomorrow’s match at home to Livingston.

There are other agendas to follow with the potential break up of the Celtic squad a great source of interest and excitement.

After fielding a question about the possible sale of Josip Juranovic the next question pushed at Postecoglou was along similar lines about Stephen Welsh.

The relentless tone of media discussion in Scotland is normally met with a quick rebuttal but today Postecoglou fired straight back at those hoping to see his squad fall apart.

All this speculation, what I can tell you right now is all of this speculation, we’ve not had an offer for any player.

So people can talk about offers and clubs wanting but I can’t spend my time chasing shadows, what is in the press every morning because I would be spending my whole day talking to players.

As I keep saying, what I see is what is before me every day here at training, if there is any issue or if players ave anything put in front of them about their future I am sure they will come and see me, Michael (CEO, Nicholson) will speak to their representatives but right now there is nothing, zero, zip, nada. Nothing going on.

Tomorrow night Celtic play their first home match in almost six weeks with the win over Aberdeen making it 15 victories out of 16 in the SPFL this season.

That form has allowed them to break nine points clear at the top of the table when most pundits were predicting a very tight race, falling back on that old favourite that the race could go ‘to the wire’.
