Petrov proves just too smart for petty Boyd

Image for Petrov proves just too smart for petty Boyd

It seems that pettiness always scores over professionalism for Kris Boyd.

During a goal-laden career stretching to almost 20 years he only notched once against the hoops- in a dead rubber SPL match in 2006 after Gordon Strachan’s side had clinched the title.

Boyd’s move into the media has coincided with a period of unprecedented successes including four successive trebles and being champions in 10 of the last 11 seasons.

A late goal at Aberdeen today restored the nine point lead that Ange Postecoglou’s side went into the World Cup break with, after the match there seemed little prospect of a reasoned discussion in the Sky Sports studio overlooking Pittodrie where Stan Petrov was on duty.

The Sun reports:

Speaking on Sky Sports, Petrov said: “They (Aberdeen) are going up against another big team on Tuesday…” before Boyd cut-in adding: “the bigger team.”

Eilish Barbour, trying to get back on topic said: “You can argue about that later.”

Former Aberdeen boss Stephen Glass was also in the Sky studio, giving a measured appraisal of how his successor, Jim Goodwin had set up the home side.

While Petrov provided an insight into what Celtic had did well and struggled in Boyd feels the need to play to the gallery and constantly share his sense of humour.

Easily the most unprofessional “professional pundit” in the game.
    A petty, hateful, thick idiot.
But lets not forget, that is the standard in Scotland.

    • Edmund Blackadder says:

You clearly haven’t heard Alan Hutton in his Five Live pundit role…. Thick as a whale omelette!

  • Scud Missile says:

Calmac ferries to the rescue but only just, talk of refs helping sevco out we appear on today’s to be doing that job just fine ourselves.
This tippy tappy play today without an end product was lie watching the Arsenal of old all the possession and nothing to show for it.
We better get the finger out our arse for the next ciuple of weeks and get our play back up to a better standard, otherwise sevco will eat into that lead.
Today’s play was almost like everyone had to touch the ball before the goal got scored, that was more down to luck.
Only my opinion which is like ARSEHOLES everybody has one.

…and they’re generally spouting a lot of crap, eh Scudley Poo-Shite?

Just yanking yer chain bud ;-P

It’s hard to play against 11 behind the ball. Everyone in the SPFL knows they’ve got, at best, a 5% chance of beating us and a maybe 40% chance of beating Sevco so why do they insist in the backs to the wall pish? If we can take the game to Real feckin’ Madrid surely the third-placed side in the league can try and have a go against us FFS!?!?!?!?

It’s nae wonder we’ve been pish in Europe for years…we seldom play teams with the cojones to attack us so when we face a Euro team willing to have a go we get a bit confused…

You say the Celtic fans are to blame for the corruption in thee game Scud, because they go and support their team?
And now you are unhappy with a Celtic victory at Pittodrie!
Come on Scuddy, we know you have an agenda on here. You never calla “Hun” a Hun for some reason!

  • the maister says:

    I won Scuddy.

  • John Copeland says:

Boyds bit of oneupmanship about the Rangers being the biggest club could have been met by an embarrassing retort by Stan Petrov . For example ,Stan could have mentioned the biggest club at corruption ! Or cheating ! Or for favourable decisions from referees /officials ! Or the biggest clumpany for losing the most money each season ….. No , gentleman Stan let Boyd prove to everyone yet again ,that he is not a neutral pundit while broadcasting for SKY SPORTS…
