Saturday was a pretty decent day for Josip Juranovic.

After picking up a bronze medal from the World Cup Finals in Qatar there was further good news coming in from Aberdeen.

A 2-1 victory over Morocco ended his stint in Qatar on a high, back at the ranch a late goal from Callum McGregor restored the nine point lead that Juranovic helped build up before he checked-in for international duty.

Football Scotland reports:

The right-back was a standout for his country in Qatar this year and showed his best form at right-back as his country beat Morocco in the third-place play-off to finish behind France and Argentina who square off in the final later today. The Hoops, meanwhile, beat Dons 1-0 at Pittodrie yesterday and Jura celebrated further, saying: “I saw that we won and now we are nine points ahead of Rangers!”

Those comments don’t suggest someone in a hurry to quit Scotland but his high profile performances in Qatar doubled up with the signing of Alistair Johnston suggests that Juranovic will be on the move next month.

Celtic will grant the defender a week off with Ange Postecoglou expecting Juranovic back at Lennoxtown ahead of the December 28 match away to Hibs. With a trip to Ibrox following a few days later it will be a big call whether to put the Croatian hero back into the firing line for the derby fixture.
