With six months left on his contract Ryan Jack hasn’t even had a discussion never mind the offer of a new contract to stay on at Ibrox.

The injury jinxed midfielder has started six of this season’s 16 SPFL matches which is a typical return since he moved to Ibrox in 2017 as a free agent.

In his final season at Aberdeen Jack picked up a full set of runners-up medals as Celtic completed an invincible treble, with two exceptions he has maintained that role at Ibrox under Pedro Caixinha, Graeme Murty, Steven Gerrard and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Micky Beale has apparently shared inspirational words with every player at Ibrox but as The Sun reports he failed to mention the c-word in his talk with Jack who will be 31 in February:

I am up at the end of the season and I have not spoken to the club so far. I’m going to work hard, keep my head down, play my football and whatever happens will happen.

Things outside football and my contract situation determines where your family is going to be.

But for me I just need to keep playing football, focus on trying to play week-in, week-out at Rangers and then I will see what happens.

I have been here five years and am happy at the club. I am settled and I love playing here but it is one of those situations where I have not had that conversation with anyone.

Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Scott Arfield, Filip Helander, Steve Davis and Allan McGregor are also out of contract in May 2023.

In five and a half years at Ibrox Jacko has started 88 SPFL matches. There isn’t likely to be much demand in the summer for an injury jinxed 31-year-old who only has an interest in once club.

There is a valid reason why Jack is constantly injured ! It’s the snide ,dirty tackles he delivers to opponents consistently…. The hits are so wrong ,he does severe damage to himself too …

As a life-long Celtic FC (not PLC) supporter, I’ve always sought ‘justice’ in life.
If the poetic form is the only one we get, then so be it.
Jack and justice seem poles apart, until you bring the poet in!
      Hell mend ‘im.

Jacky boy you shared a spoon.
        Let the devil mend you??

He is an utter failure both as a person and as a footballer in my opinion.

I’d recommend a fire sale but who’s going to buy players with no value, far to many sick notes at ibrox that have lowered the players values to same price as the diluted ibrox share value, all they can do is let the contracts run out and get the sickies off the extortionate payroll.
